Een stuurtrailer, ook wel gestuurde trailer genoemd, is een aanhangwagen met een ingebouwde stuurinrichting. In tegenstelling tot standaard aanhangwagens kunnen stuurtrailers de achterwielen sturen, wat zorgt voor extra wendbaarheid.
Ze zijn ideaal voor situaties waarin precisie vereist is, zoals het manoeuvreren in krappe ruimtes of het nemen van scherpe bochten. Dankzij de verminderde draaicirkel en verbeterde positionering optimaliseren deze trailers logistieke processen.
Stuurtrailers zijn verkrijgbaar in diverse configuraties, variërend van enkele gestuurde assen tot meerdere gestuurde assen, afgestemd op de benodigde wendbaarheid voor specifieke toepassingen.
Wij werken uitsluitend met Tridec-stangenbesturing, waarbij het meest gebruikte TD-stuursysteem de voorkeur geniet. Dit trek-duwsysteem is ideaal voor opleggers met één gestuurde as. Wanneer de aangekoppelde trekker naar links stuurt, wordt de stuurkoker naar voren getrokken. Het asmontageframe, dat is verbonden met het achterste deel van de stuurkoker, draait hierdoor naar rechts.
Onze stuurtrailers zijn standaard zwaar uitgevoerd met hoogsterktestaal, een zwaar chassis met IPE 80 dwarsliggers of versterkte Z-profielen en een technische schoteldruk van achtien ton. Een stuurtrailer kost beduidend meer dan een starre oplegger, daarom is een lange levensduur vaak gewenst.
